2010/11 Pledge Campaign
Gets Under Way
As a church community, we strive together to do our part to promote Unitarian Universalist values at home and in the world, and to provide a compassionate and nurturing environment in which to explore diverse spiritual interests and views. As members, we each strive to do our part for our church through active participation and support.
This year the theme of our pledge campaign is "Doing Our Part." We'll celebrate with a special weekend of activities including a talent show on Saturday, March 13, and a Commitment Sunday service on March 14. We'll have many more details for you soon. Keep checking the Sunday orders of service, the church Web page, as well as your mail and email.
ART SHOW: Check out the hallway next to the Brunner Chapel featuring art work created by our children and youth.

Adult Religious Exploration
Exploring the Roots of Religion.
Exploring the Roots of Religion continues with “Towers and Tombs of Samaria." This on-going series of lectures, offered by award-winning Professor John R. Hale—a practicing archaeologist—takes us on a journey from cave art, to intricate burial chambers, to grand hilltop temples; these material expressions of spirituality offer deep insights into why humans believe in something larger than themselves. Join us each Sunday in Brunner Chapel from 9:30 – 10:20a.m.
This Sunday's Service

“A Free Faith? ”
The Rev. Dr. Joshua Snyder:
Celebration Sunday! Freedom is one of the unique characteristics of Unitarian Universalism. It is one of those things that define who we are. And yet Unitarian Universalism is not “free.” It is a very precious thing. Come this morning to celebrate our heritage, our spiritual family, and make your commitment to ensuring that free faith endures for generations to come.

Next Sunday's Service
March 21, 10:30 a.m.:
“Shades of God: the Gifts of Humanism”
The Rev. Barbara H. Gadon:
Continuing her theology series, Rev. Gadon explores the humanist tradition, which contains a rich variety of belief from casual agnosticism (There may or may not be a God) to strict agnosticism (It is impossible to know if there's a God) to casual atheism (There is no God) to strict atheism (Any notion of God is a hindrance to human progress.) All, however, celebrate the human spirit, which we will celebrate in this service.
